2) discovered that it is incredibly fun to take Mama’s clean underwear out of the laundry basket and place it between stacking bowls, over and over again.
3) finally [...]

Dear Henry,
This month I am late with your letter because, one, we celebrated your birthday like crazy rockstars last weekend, and two, I want to include your stats from your 12-month well-check today: 25.1 lbs (75-90th percentile), 31 inches (75-90th percentile), noggin circumference of 48.7 cm (95-97th percentile). Big thinker, you are!

Henry has a new favorite book: Squishy Turtle and Friends. He loves this book so much that even when it’s in another room, I can recite one of his three favorite pages, and he flashes the biggest grin and starts cracking up. This is “Beware the crab, I think he knows just how [...]

Last Sunday Henry cheered for me in the Capitol 10K. He is the reason why I ran it in 45:20 (despite the brutal 15th St. and Winstead hills and the pouring rain) and got 11th in my age group, 64th overall. I used to be such a stress case about my races until [...]
